It is not easy to see lessons in the middle of a disappointment.
The moments of disappointment and the perceived failures in your path are all preparation for the one moment when you overcome all obstacles and realize your goals. These lessons not only shape you as a person, they show you what you needed to learn so that your future efforts will yield more positive results.
The question most often asked is: "How do I find the lesson when I feel like a victim of circumstance?" The answer is, you don't. You can't have perspective when you are inside the experience. You must gain some distance before you can see what your lessons might be. At that point, you can ask yourself what you learned from this experience.
Everyone has lessons to learn. If you don't learn these lessons, they will surely be repeated in your life until you do.
